- Chad from Reconstructing 30
- beej from Journey to Satisfaction
So, how did everyone do? Here were my goals for the challenge:
- Weigh less Monday morning than on Saturday morning.
- Exercise at least 45 minutes every day this weekend (including Friday).
- Keep my average daily calorie intake below 1800.
#1 was a success for me this weekend. I weighed in at 246.0 Saturday morning, and just weighed in at 245.6 this morning. That gives me a 0.4 pound loss for the weekend – no complaints from me! #2 was a big win. I exercised 45 minutes Friday through Sunday nights, and I also finished the 200 squats challenge! #3 also went very well for me. I kept right at or even a little under 1800 calories all weekend. So that’s 3 out of 3 for me!
I can’t wait to hear how everyone else did. Either leave a comment below or write up your own blog post linking here with your results. Thanks to everyone who participated for making this a great challenge!
Hi, my name is Brandon. I am a 28 year old husband and proud father of 2. When our daughter was born in December 2009, I weighed 290 pounds. I decided right then and there that I needed to get healthy for my kids, if not for myself.

Craig´s last blog… “Weekend Warrior” challenge goals
Ha ha, thanks Craig! Actually, the 200 squats went a LOT better than I had expected. My thighs were definitely burning by the end of it, but I really haven’t had any trouble walking.
Found the challenge really motivating.
Managed to hit all the goals … even managed to weigh 2lbs less on Monday morning than Saturday. Never been known before!!!.
Ran my half M in 2:02:20 which i’m happy with.
That’s awesome Mike, nice work! I’m really happy to hear that the challenge was motivating for you – that was the idea anyways
My update is posted!

I’m thinking maybe doing it once a month, something like the first or last weekend of each month. How does that sound?
Here are my results: http://www.losinglynne.com/?p=352 Success in all areas! I’m very happy. Thank you so much for doing this. It made a huge difference in how I ate and in my level of exercise this weekend.
That’s great Lynne, I’m happy to hear that you had great success!
I too found this really motivating for me this weekend. While my goals were very simple, having this extra push helped me make sure I got them done. And really thats the stage I’m at. Doing Something, rather than just sitting there. This certainly helped! Thank you and I can’t wait for the next one

Alissa, I’m happy to hear that the challenge was able to give you some extra motivation to meet your goals for the weekend – that was the whole idea
As far as the next one is concerned, I’m thinking maybe doing it once a month, something like the first or last weekend of each month.
Great job! I just updated the weekend warriors post on my blog with an UPDATE comment showing my results. Congrats to all the weekend warriors!

I got my 20 miles in…so WooT for that goal, and for the most part I stayed within my 2000 calorie limits…but I crashed and burned with the endurance tests for 100pushups/200situps/200squats. After my run on Sunday I didn’t have much desire to do anything else…BOO!!!
Is this going to be a regular thing? I think that would be great to have something to push towards on most (if not every
) weekend!
Oh…I didn’t see that you said you were thinking about once a month…d’oh! I think that’d be a good way to kick start into each new month (if you did it on the last weekend).
You’ve already seen my results, but I was afk before you posted this post!

I did ok
I did excersize both days and didn’t end up going out saturday so the beer wasn’t an issue this weekend. I did eat well all weekend. But had some sick kids so I didn’t get to get out and walk the dog like I wanted.
